Our Programs
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
We don't believe in separating the learning of MMA into separate classes. We believe that ignores the first "M" in MMA...Mixed. Instead, we teach a robust curriculum of all aspects of MMA focusing on the fundamentals of the sport and seamless transition between striking, cage work, takedowns/defense, and grappling. Our beginner MMA class meets every night and drills fundamentals. Sparring is only done in controlled circumstances under the watchful eye of one of our coaches.
Though we don't believe one or two "styles" make you an effective Mixed Martial Artist, our fighting style
finds its base in Dutch Kickboxing and Catch as Catch Can Wrestling (Catch Wrestling).
Kickboxing
In the late 70’s and 80’s Dutch fighters training in Kyokushin Karate and Kickboxing began fighting in Thailand. Disliking strict Muay Thai Principles, the Dutch favored a more mobile and elusive style of fighting. As a result, they began employing more angles, mobile footwork, quick lead leg kicks, and boxing style punching into their repertoire. With the resounding success Dutch Kickboxers found in Thailand (notably Rob Kaman, Ramon Dekkers, Ernesto Hoost among others) the Dutch style of kickboxing became a style of its own.
Our Kickboxing classes are based in this potent style and also incorporate functional fitness exercises and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) techniques to get you in phenomenal shape! Don't worry!
If you don't want to hit anyone you don't have to!
